A One Day Industrial Visit

On 21st January 2026, 52 students of B.Com (Information Systems Management) from the Department of Commerce (ISM & CA), SRM Arts and Science College, along with faculty members, visited Hatsun Agro Product Limited, Kanchipuram. Before entering the production area, the company officials briefed the students about the safety procedures and hygiene standards to be followed inside the premises. The objective of the industrial visit was to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations and to understand the real-time application of commerce and management concepts. During the visit, the officials explained the processes of milk collection, quality testing, pasteurization, processing, packaging, storage, and distribution. The students also observed the use of modern machinery and information systems in maintaining product quality and operational efficiency. The visit helped students to understand the importance of safety, hygiene, technology, and supply chain management in the dairy industry. Overall, the industrial visit was highly informative and beneficial, enabling students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical industrial experience.
