A One Day Industrial Visit

The Department of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) organized a One Day Industrial Visit to Thai Casting Limited, Sriperumbudur for III year B.Com (Accounting and Finance) on 20^th February 2026. The visit was flagged off by the Principal, Dr .R .Vasudevaraj, Vice Principal Prof. K.Mathiyazhagan, to students of III year B.Com (Accounting and Finance) visited the company with. Dr.J.Umadevi, Head Department of Commerce (A&F) and Mr.R.Srinivasan Assistant Professor ,Department Of Commerce (A&F) who were guiding them. The visit was intended to enhance their knowledge about Thai Casting Limited. The students along with the Head of the department and faculty visited the factory.

            Thai Casting Team Members explained the Automobile parts of the Car like steering; two wheelers, wheel accessories like Rim and the process of making steering .The casting of Aluminum and segregation of other relevant elements were discussed there. They also explained the materials involved in making the steering of Automobile vehicles like cars, two wheelers, silencer parts and other industrial equipments needed in the assembly of parts for manufacture of the car, two wheelers. This induced interest in the students to explore about the industry as a whole.

            Dr J.Umadevi, Head, Department of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and Mr.R.Srinivasan Assistant Professor, Department Of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) gave memento to the Head and his team .They helped us in making the industrial visit more lively. The students expressed that the visit provided them an insight into the functioning of Thai Casting Limited. The visit was memorable and useful to enhance the practical and industrial knowledge of the students and their careers.
