About Event

The Computer Science Department hosted a Training Cum Awareness Programme on Secure Money Transactions on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at UG Lab-1. The awareness campaign drew 71 registrations. Over 50 people, including teachers, non-teachers, and students, attended the awareness programme which featured instruction on GPay, Phone Pay, Amazon Pay, Internet Banking (NEFT /IMPS / RTGS) Transactions, Online Purchase through (Amazon, Flipkart), Online Recharge, Bill Payment, Direct To Home Delivery (DTHD), Cab Booking, Food Orders, Mail Safety (Phishing Prevention, Spam Emails, Two-Step Authentication), Phone Text Message Safety (Pin/OTP), Verified by Visa(Double Verification), Android Phone & App’s Safety awareness. The welcome speech was given by Ms.S.AISHWARYA, final year M.Sc Computer Science student. The Secure Money Transactions introduction speech was given by Mr.R.KARTHIKEYAN Head, Department of Computer Science. Our Vice Principal Professor Mr.K.MATHIAZHAGAN gave a special address on Secure Money Transactions. Next, Mr.R.KARTHIKEYAN Head presented the presentation on Mail safety (Phishing prevention, Spam emails, Two-step Authentication), Online recharge and bill payment, DTH,. Followed by Mr.S.SELVAKUMAR, Assistant Professor from the Department of Computer Science has given a demo about EB Bill, Net banking and he also made the non- teaching staffs members to work on the system. Finally, Dr.V.SHOBA, Assistant Professor from the Department of Computer Science also given by the presentation about G-pay, phonePe. The participants were made aware of the Secure Money Transactions. At last, Vote of thanks was given by Ms.R.SOUNDARYA, Msc final year student from the Department of Computer Science. At last, the programme came to an end by National Anthem
