Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Women Empowerment Cell in association with Raja Screen Printers, Theni, organised a Two day Skill Development Programme on Textile and Screen Printing Technology on 24th July and 25th July, 2023 at Valliammai Hall. The Programme was inaugurated by the Vice Principal, Prof. K. Mathiyazhagan. He delivered the key note address to the participants. Dr. N.V. Ramachandran, the convener of EDC, delivered the Welcome Address and introduced the Resource person of the programme. The programme was a combination of presentation and activity- based learning sessions to get the students involved in the training programme. Mr. M. Rajavel, D.M.E, Chairman and Trainer, Raja Screen Printers, Theni, displayed the process in printing and highlighted the approaches and the methods used in it. He also inspired the students to become entrepreneurs by explaining how it works in detail.
The training opened the eyes of many students who aspired to become entrepreneurs. The skill development programme assisted them in developing an idea for a Textile and Screen printing business. The students practised printing with the provided kit, and they all has a great time doing so. It was a huge success with the coordination and unwavering support of the members of both the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Women Empowerment Cell. Dr. Uma Devi, Covenor of the WEC, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
