The Department of Commerce (ISM & CA) and NSS Unit of the college jointly organized an Awareness Campaign on “EK PED MAA KE NAAM” (Plant one tree in Mother’s name) on 13th September 2024. This Campaign was aimed to encourage the students and give them awareness about the environmental sustainability and honour the invaluable contributions of mothers by symbolically planting trees in their names. By focusing on the theme of planting a tree in one’s mother’s name, the campaign sought to evoke an emotional connection with nature, fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment. As a part of this campaign, students from the Department of Commerce (ISM & CA) actively participated and planted 169 palm seeds in the Maraimalai Nagar lake area. The students worked with enthusiasm, understood the significance of their contribution not only to the environment but also to future generations.
