The final year students of management studies of SRM Arts & Science College, Kattankulathur conducted a “HELMET AWARENESS CAMPAIGN” on 5^th August,  2019 at 7.45 a.m. The objective of the campaign is to create awareness on the need to wear helmets. Nearly sixty students actively participated in the campaign.

Dr. R. Vasudevaraj, Principal and Prof. K. Mathiyazhagan, Head, Department of Tamil, SRM Arts and Science College motivated the student participants. The campaign was flagged off by the Principal. The campaign covered the surrounding areas of the college. As part of the program, all the students carried out the campaign using placards holding slogans and distributed pamphlets on the importance of wearing helmets. 

Even after the compulsory helmet rule enforcement our few fellow citizens choose not to wear helmets.  Our students took a pro-active effort to reach out to two wheeler riders and create awareness to start wearing helmets immediately without any delay. 

Dr.J. Saravanan, Head of the Department and the faculty members also took part in the campaign along with the final year students of the department. Covid protocols were abided by the students and faculty members throughout the campaign. The rally ended successfully with the students returning to the College Campus. Refreshments were provided to the participants and the faculty members who actively took part in the rally.
