The Department of Biochemistry organized a one day Industrial Visit to Daeiou Pharmaceuticals (P) Ltd, Villianur, Puducherry for the 1^st M.Sc. Biochemistry students on 17^th February 2023. The visit was flagged off by the Principal Dr. R. Vasudevaraj. 21 students of the 1^st M.Sc. Biochemistry visited the company with 2 teaching faculty (Dr. R. Aruna and Dr. M. Yuvaraj) and 1 non-teaching member (Mr. M. Samidurai) who were guiding them. This visit was intended to enhance their knowledge about tablet manufacturing and syrup mass production etc. The students were divided into two batches during the visit to the company. The students along with the faculty visited the formulation of raw materials, filling machine, tablet compressor machine, syrup reactors, multi brand manufactured products, labelling and packing of the sample. Dr. R. Aruna and Dr. M. Yuvaraj faculties of the department gave memento to the Managing Director Ms. Aishwarya and also thank Mr. Venkatesan is one of our beloved alumni from Department of Biochemistry, SRMASC who helped us more feasibility for the Industrial visit. The students expressed that the visit provided them an insight into the internal functioning of the company and experiences how the working atmosphere of an industry would be. The visit was memorable and useful to enhance the practical and industrial knowledge of the students and their careers.
