Department of Biochemistry observed International World Health Day on the theme of ‘Health 2022’ on 7^th April, 2022 to spread awareness about the importance of good health and specific issues related to health. As a part of the Programme, various competitions such as Oral presentation, Poster presentation, Cooking without fire, and Models were conducted by the department. Dr. T. G. Nithya, Associate Professor of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur was the chief guest of the programme. She cut the ribbon to inaugurate the programme and appreciated the iniative taken by the staff members of the department to mark the International World Health Day with competitions that would give awareness about the importance of physical and mental health to the students and the staff members amidst pandemic situation. Dr. R. Vasudevaraj, Principal and Prof. K. Mathiyazhagan, Vice Principal of the college felicitated the programme. Dr. V. S. Padmavathy and Dr. K. Priya, Assistant Professors, Department of Computer Applications and Technology were the Judges of the competitions conducted. Dr. B. Arirudran, Head i/c, Department of Biochemistry delivered the Vote of Thanks. Around 30 Staff members and 250 students from various departments of the college participated in the competitions and won prizes.
