Department of Biochemistry at SRMASC is placed on par with the top notching institutions of our state.  SRMASC always focuses on improving the infrastructure because we believe that the facilities, we provide will facilitate the students and make them to excel in all the domains. In today’s world, we need Biochemistry in every sphere of our life.

Department of   Biochemistry is facilitated with separate UG and PG laboratories, from basic tools to advanced research-oriented instruments to carry out practical and projects, which heighten the outcome of biochemist with upgraded scientific knowledge and provides students with insight into the specific role, as well as a variety of functions of Biochemistry in various field for the benefit of our society: creating new knowledge, improving education, and increasing the quality of our lives.

 This enhances the inherent inquisitiveness of the student and energizes him to examine uncharted paths.  We have spacious laboratories equipped with State of Art equipments such as UV-VIS spectrophotometer, electrophoresis units, Cooling centrifuge, 4 Table top centrifuges, Laminar Air Flow Chambers, Compound microscope etc.,

The Department is equipped with fire management systems, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, fume classification cupboards, exhaust ducts, goggles and safety masks are available to deal with any emergency situations.The department is endowed with well-maintained physical infrastructure to run all the academic programmes. HOD room, staff room, store room, classrooms with LCD and power point projector, department library and computers with net facility have been established to carry out teaching, learning and research.
