Department of Biochemistry organized an International seminar on 05th March 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Valliammai Hall to motivate and give awareness about the “Applications of Nanotechnology in Medicine & Life Science: Scope and Opportunities for Higher Education and Carrier in Abroad”.

Dr. S. NAGARANI, M.Sc. Ph.D., Research Scientist, Department of Environmental Engineering and Management, Chaoyang University of Technology, Taichung city, Taiwan explained about the cutting edge of nanotechnology applications in electronics and medicine, nanoparticles for disease diagnosis, photo-dynamic therapy and treatment modeling and how it is helpful for humans. How we use our lab chemicals, biological waste to synthesis graphene, graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide and use them for biological applications.  She shared few of her upcoming communicated results and motivated the young students to perform better research projects and publish more articles in international reputed journals. With respect to carrier opportunities the examinations like, ILC, Toefl, JSPS, etc. were explained to students to get Ph.D., positions in Taiwan, Japan and European countries with stipend.

Prof. K. Mathiyazhagan, Vice-Principal presided over the program and honored the guest with memento to Dr. S. Nagarani. Dr. S. Jayakumar, HOD, Department of Biochemistry delivered welcome address. Dr. R. Aruna, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry gives speaker introduction to the gatherings.  Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. M. Hemalatha, Assistant Professor and Department of Biochemistry.  There are 100 students from Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology were participated the event along with staff members.
