SRM Arts and Science College, Department of Microbiology, has organized an industrial visit on 19/01/2024 to Aavin, Madhavaram Dairy, Chennai-51. The visit was organized by Head of the Department Dr. O.V. Ravi Kumar, the coordinators of the industrial visit were Dr. N. Prabha and Dr. A. Kalidoss. A total of 27 students (III UG students) with 2 faculty member visited one of the leading producer of milk and milk products, This visit was mainly focused on to understand the procedures and the equipment’s used. The students visited various labs in the industry such as QC laboratory, Pasteurization units and milk packing section, etc.
During this session, students interacted very effectively. This trip was highly useful for the students in terms of practical knowledge and will also be helpful for them to find placement opportunities in such industries. We thank full to the Principal for permitting for the Industrial visit.
