The women empowerment cell conducted a programme on the role of physical and mental health  of women on 9/11/2022 at Valliammai seminar hall.  154 members including women faculty and girls’ students attended the seminar.  Mr. K. Mathiazhagan, vice principal  presided over the event.  The chief guest Dr Madhupriya Anantha Krishnan from Shree Centre for fertility and women’s care held an interactive session with the students. . The welcome address was given by Dr. J .Umadevi.  The chief guest was introduced by   Mrs Sahaya Sugirtha Cindrella. 

The chief guest   Dr Madhupriya Anantha Krishnan  gave a PowerPoint presentation. She highlighted the importance of health and wellness of women across all age groups. She urged the women to take protective vaccine for cervical cancer. She also spoke about work-life and tech-life balance. She cautioned the students about the blue light emitted from cell phone that affects the hormonal balance resulting in many diseases

The students participated enthusiastically and asked many questions related to women’s health. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. R.Aruna, assistant professor, Department of Biochemistry. The chief guest answered all the questions patiently. The programme was a grand success as it emphasized the importance of health, hygiene and how women should empower themselves to be successful in all walks of life.
