The Department of Management Studies in association with NSS and YRC celebrated World Environment Day on 5^th of June 2022.  The programme commenced at 9:30 a.m at Panchayat Union Middle School, East Potheri. The objective of the programme was to plant saplings in the school to make it a green campus.   Around 80 students of the Government school along with the faculty members of the department actively participated in the programme. Dr. J. Saravanan, Head of the Department of Management Studies, Mr. R. Gunasekaran, NSS Programme Officer and the students planted the saplings in the school campus.  An awareness session on adverse effects of deforestation also was organized at 10:30 a.m in the college premises.  Dr. R. Vasudevaraj, Principal planted a sapling in the periphery of the main building of the college.   He delivered his speech on the benefits of trees, traditional methods to safeguard the environment.  Mr. S. Santhanakrishnan, Placement Officer of the college addressed the gathering about the significance of trees and their impact in human lives. Two of the school students, Divyadharshini and Vikramaditya shared their views about the world environment day.  C. Gokulkrishnan, final year student of the MBA department proposed the vote of thanks of the programme.
