A MoU signing ceremony was organised by the Department of English on 24 March 2023 at 11 AM in Vendhar Hall of SRM Arts and Science College. The Purpose of this MoU is to find Students with the interest to become a Civil Servant for our Country and to train them with the help of Sivarajavel IAS Academy. The Ceremony began with the invocation song ‘ Thamizh Thaai Vazhthu’. Mr.K.Siva Sankar, Head, Department of English welcomed the gathering. The Presidential Address was rendered by Dr. R. Vasudevaraj, Prinicpal, SRM Arts and Science College. Mrs.R.Kalpana, Assistant Professor, Department of English introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. Mr.S. Sivarajavel was honored by our principal with a memento and shawl. On behalf of Sivarajavel IAS academy the dignitaries were honored with a memento.
Thereafter, the participants were espoused by MR. S.Sivarajavel, Founder Director of Sivarajavel IAS Academy. He acquainted them with the objectives and goals of Civil Service as a Career Option and he reflected his profound knowledge on the topic and highlighted how important it is to work towards the goal of achieving to the aspirants of Civil Service exams. An interactive concourse ignited the inquisitiveness of participants. The Faculty from the IAS Academy Conducted a Scholarship Test and the winners were given 50 % scholarship if they wish to precede their learning with the academy. Thereafter the MoU was signed between the College and the IAS Academy. The informative event culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr.K.Janagarraj, Assistant Professor Department of English. The event came to an end with the National Anthem sung by the English Department students. The Prinicpal, Vice Principal, Heads, Faculty and Students of Various Department were present through the ceremony.
