In accordance to World Tourism day SRM-IHM arranged a training program for the women around Mahabalipuram regarding entrepreneurship for the house hold women in regards to low budget healthy cooking (e.g. millet based snacks, lentil based snacks) they were also provided knowledge by live demonstration of cooking, packing and selling keeping safety measures  in mind. As a part live demonstration we displayed a food cart with all healthy treats which was the high light of the function. Lunch and gift hampers were provided at the end of the session.

A three in one program of World Tourism Day, International Chefs Day and World Food day  in the month of September 2020 was carried out in a grand manner in Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Maraimalai Nagar, Kanchipuram District Tamil Nadu keeping covid SOP as per the government rules and regulations and maintained proper social distance throughout the function. The main purpose of choosing SIRD (State Institute of Rural Development) and PR (Panchyat Raj) because they have maintained the hygiene standards as per the government rules. Dr. Chef Damodharan one of the leading celebrity chef in the hotel Industry along with Chef Shri Bala who specialize in heritage food and is ambassador of eatwithindia  and Dr T Anuradha MBBS District Designated officer Food Safety Department garlanded the function with their presences. A live demonstration on immune boosting recipes with a live interaction with the audience who are the local rural women of in and around Kanchipuram District. DrAnuradha gave a live demonstration in identifying food adulteration and its importance. As a part live demonstration we displayed a food cart with all healthy treats is an added up benefit. Lunch, gift hampers along with safety kit were provided at the end of the session.
