The Department of Biotechnology conducted the webinar on “Career Trends in the Life   Sciences Industry” for the life science students. The meeting was held through Google meet on 13 June, 2020 at 5.00 P.m. The speaker was Mr. J. Antony Prabhu, Manager, Indegene, Bangalore. The meeting was held for the students aspiring a career in life sciences. Total number of participants was 233 including students and staffs. The e-certificate was provided to all the registered participants. The students gained knowledge on the job opportunities in private and government research institutes of life sciences.

Students learned that life science is a wide range of field that requires in-depth study and research of the particular subject. Students understand that biotechnology and genetic engineering are leading branches in life Sciences. Students learned that the excessive competition amongst the candidates and the career opportunities are completely based on academic knowledge and experience.
