Cleanliness is next to godliness. Clean surrounding makes everyone happy and healthy physically and mentally. Focusing on it, the fourth day (24th March 2022) of the NSS Special Camp started with a special address by Mr. P. Horsley Solomon, Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Science. In his address to the NSS Volunteers, he highlighted the role of each Volunteer of the Camp in educating the people on the significance of keeping the surroundings clean. He interacted with the volunteers to ingrain leadership, team works, and adaptability skills from the Camp. Lord Shiva Temple of the Village was cleaned by the NSS Volunteers. After Lunch, a few streets were cleaned till evening.Mrs. A. Thenmozhi, Asst. Prof. of Biochemistry, Dr. Saravananathan and Mr. Ramesh , Asst. Professors of Computer Science, Dr. K. Janagarraj, Asst. Prof. of English, Mr. Raj Bharath, Asst Prof. of Commerce, Dr. K. Govarthanan, Physical Director of the College interacted with the volunteers at the Camp.

The Special Camp had the mission of cleaning the surrounding of the Village Administrative Office Building, and  Anganvadi School of the village. The Headmaster of the Middle School had interaction with the girl volunteers on the role and responsibilities of women in society. Dr.O.V.Ravikumar, Head of the Department of Microbiology gave a special address to the Volunteers about the significance of NSS and its Volunteers in the development of the village. Dr. R. Vasudevaraj, Principal of the College was also presented at the Camp.

NSS Special Camp at Chettipunniyam Village, Chengalpattu District. On the second day of the Camp, the NSS Unit took up the task of cleaning the compound of the Panchayat Middle School of the village. During the cleaning drive, plastic waste, thorny bushes, broken bricks and rubble were cleared from the school compound. The NSS volunteers as one group helped one another in completing the cleaning drive with energy and dedication.

The NSS unit of SRM Arts and Science College,Kattankulathur conducted Inagural Ceremony of Annual Special Camp at Chettipuniyam Village in Chengalpattu District. Our college vice principal Inagurated the Special Camp in the presence of village people.
