The Department of Biochemistry celebrated its Freshers’ Day on 22nd November 2021. The Programme was conducted to welcome and introduce the new students of the course and to provide friendly atmosphere to them with the senior students. The programme was also aimed to give auspicious beginning to the freshers to start their journey in the college and to make this day memorable in their life.

Dr.R.Vasudevaraj, Principal and Prof. K.Mathiyazhagan,Vice Principal of the College permitted and supported the Department to celebrate the Freshers’ day grandly. The Faculty and the Students of the Department of Biochemistry actively participated and celebrated the event. The programme was celebrated at Room No. 406 in the Department which was beautifully decorated with glitter and light by the senior students.

As part of it, sweet and flowers were given to the freshers of BSc and MSc Biochemistry.  Dr.B.Arirudran, Head of the Department addressed the gathering and highlighted the infrastructure and facility available in the department. Games and activities were also conducted to make the day filled with fun for the freshers. At the end of the session Refreshments and Lunch were arranged for the faculty and the students that further extended the friendly atmosphere of the day
